When it came time to celebrate Doral Kia’s grand opening at its brand-new location in southern Florida, General Manager Mitchell Loszynski and his team went the extra mile to highlight the store’s Kia 2.0 lifestyle upgrade and its strong community partnerships.
A Day of Fun, Food & Festivities
Loszynski—who is widely known throughout the community as “The Kia Boss”—hosted the energetic and colorful grand opening, welcoming and interacting with the public, media, community officials, and corporate leaders. The celebratory event included a tour of the new dealership, as well as:
- A community raffle to give away a 2027 Kia Telluride (worth over $50,000)
- Generous check presentations to local nonprofits
- A ribbon-cutting ceremony with city officials
- High-energy entertainment from a local Cuban musician
- Free food for all attendees provided by a local Cuban restaurant
Doral Kia moved into its new location on February 27, 2026, and quickly spread the word about the car-giveaway raffle to generate interest in the grand opening. Store employees got busy organizing the day’s activities, decorations, and entertainment—including inviting leaders from Lithia & Driveway and Kia America.

“The store’s new showroom and location are a continuation of our journey to Improve Constantly,” says Loszynski. “It also symbolizes our employees’ hard work and loyalty, which helped us become Kia’s #1 store in Florida and #2 in the U.S. last year. I’m truly blessed to be surrounded by such a great team that creates great experiences for our customers.”
In a nod to Doral Kia’s contribution to local business, city mayor, Christi Fraga, was a guest of honor, helping Shawn Kukic, Operations President at Lithia & Driveway and Loszynski cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the new Kia 2.0 store.
Emphasizing Community Connections
A major component of Doral Kia’s culture centers on being active in the community. “We’re proud to be a part of this amazing city,” says Loszynski, “and we’re constantly looking for ways to bring our tight-knit community even closer.”
To emphasize this priority at the grand opening, Doral Kia raffled off a 2027 Kia Telluride to a lucky winner, donating all proceeds to the nearby University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. “The raffle proceeds came to about $21,000,” says Loszynski, “but the store decided to add another $29,000 for an even $50,000 because it is such a worthy cause.”

In addition, two local nonprofits each received a corporate Lithia 4Kids Grant because of their connection with Doral Kia and their drive to support local youth. Illumine Ministries, Inc. was awarded $2,500, and Doral Downtown Charter School was awarded $5,000.
Brittany Osterhout, Lithia & Driveway’s Community Relations Manager, was onsite for the check presentations, noting “it was so heartwarming to have the kids from the charter school at the grand opening to accept the check on behalf of their programs.”
A Day to Remember
All in all, attendees had a great time dancing and eating good food; Andrea from Naples, Florida won a 2027 Kia Telluride; the shiny balloons made the showroom pop; and Doral Kia re-enforced its credo to get their customers into the car of their dreams.
“The grand opening was a huge success!” concludes Loszynski. “Our customer-centric culture was on full display—how we truly believe that everyone deserves to be driving a Kia; that’s our momentum and what we live and breathe at Doral Kia.”
