To kick off the new year, Lithia & Driveway hosted a Blood Drive in collaboration with the American Red Cross at the Lithia Home Office and the Driveway Care Center. For one day, the Red Cross set up two Home Office conference rooms, and employees were able to donate blood on-site. The goal for the day was to gather 25donations, but in the end, 35 people helped us significantly exceed that goal. The Red Cross was appreciative not only for the donations, but of the culture LAD employees embody. They are looking forward to round two, scheduled for May2023.
LAD is once again a title sponsor of Special Olympics Oregon. The partnership gave team members theopportunity to participate in one of the most fun and challenging fundraising events of the year – Special Olympics Oregon's Polar Plunge.
Two Polar Plunge teams were formed this year – one in Bend, OR consisting of team members from local stores, and one in Medford, with support staff from Driveway and theMedford home office. Both teams had a terrific turnout, and helped SpecialOlympics Oregon crush their goal of raising $50,000 for their athletes.
