LAD’s Accelerate My Potential (AMP) top talent programs help accelerate our mission of GrowthPowered by People. AMP Programs develop high potential employees at various levels to support succession planning, enhance internal promotions, and facilitate leadership development.
Store Leadership Program
Since 2017, high potential store leaders have also been nominated to participate in the Store Leadership Program, designed to provide high potential leaders from stores to showcase General Manager competencies, including entrepreneurship, retail readiness, critical thinking, and people development. In addition, the program offers opportunities to build network connections, gain visibility to leadership, and enhance leadership skills.

Professional Leadership Program
In 2022, LAD also launched a new top talent offering, the Professional Leadership Program (PLP),designed to provide high potential leaders from Support, Driveway, and Driveway Finance Groups an opportunity to showcase Director competencies, including executive presence, strategic decision making, people development, and change leadership. The program offers opportunities to build network connections, gain visibility to leadership, and enhance leadership skills.

Leader Talks
Leader Talks, LAD’s high volume, high impact, learning series featured Senior Vice Presidents Scott Hillier, Tom Naso, and Bryan Osterhout, as well as Group Vice Presidents Philip Brooker and Robert Kibbler. They shared insights on our Operations Focus Areas for 2023—including best strategies for driving used car revenue. These recorded meetings are accessible to all employees via our Learning Center. Throughout 2022, over 79% of our General Managers and over 83% of our stores joined at least one virtual live session in 2022.
