Boise Store Elevates Community Connections

To support and recognize ongoing community relations across Lithia & Driveway’s vast store network, we’d like to spotlight Lithia Ford Lincoln of Boise (Idaho) and its shining example of robust community involvement and volunteerism.

In 2025, this dealership donated over $20,000 to local nonprofits and was a trailblazer in partnering with local student-athletes under the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s new Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) policy—making unique social and business connections within their region.

Student-Athlete “NIL” Partnerships

The new NIL policy allows high school and college student-athletes the ability to earn money from their personal brand through endorsements, social media, merchandise, and appearances without losing their eligibility to play sports. As part of its 2025 community action plan, Lithia Ford Lincoln entered into business agreements with several student-athletes from Boise State University (BSU) to match personal contributions to their charities of choice that were based on certain performance criteria.

As a result of these NIL partnerships, the dealership contributed over $10,000 to various nonprofits in the Boise area, including:

  • Shine On—A nonprofit that advocates for children across Idaho. In its agreement with Kenzie MacMillian, a BSU soccer athlete, the store donated $500 to Shine On for every goal Kenzie made during the soccer season, in addition to $250 for every assist, for a total donation of $5,250.
  • Boise Rescue Mission—A nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless and addicted individuals. In its agreement with Kage Casey, a BSU football athlete, Lithia Ford Lincoln of Boise matched his personal donation of $300 per pancake block during the football season.
Kage, an All Mountain West First-Team Offensive Tackle, managed to pancake 20 defenders during the season, for a total store donation of $6,000

“The NIL partnerships are a wonderful, win-win opportunity to add value to the dealership, the brand, and the community, while at the same time connecting with and supporting the students,” said Jamie Drake, Business Development Marketing Manager at Lithia Ford Lincoln. “These partnerships create such great community-building opportunities for us as a dealership and for the athletes.”

Toys for Tots Drive

To end the year with a meaningful community contribution, Lithia Ford Lincoln of Boise team members joined forces with the US Marine Corp’s national Toys for Tots campaign, collecting new toys from customers and employees and getting them delivered in time for Christmas Day.

What’s Happening in 2026

Using the momentum generated from 2025’s community relations events, Lithia Ford Lincoln of Boise plans to engage in more giving-back activities in 2026:

  • NIL Partnerships to Continue—The store will partner with seven BSU student-athletes to not only raise money for each of the charities of their choosing, but to also raise awareness for the charity’s specific cause or community group in need. The dealership will be spending a lot of time highlighting these athletes’ efforts on social media and in BSU Bronco Sports–specific news channels. In addition, the store will hold a few NIL “appearance” events in the community—where athletes interact with area youth to autograph memorabilia, play football scrimmages, take pictures, and more.
  • Softball Clinic Sponsorship—The store is hoping to sponsor a softball clinic  to engage kids in the community who might not be able to afford additional training.
  • 2nd Annual Red Cross Blood Donation—For the second year in a row, the dealership plans on hosting a blood donation drive in January.
  • 2nd Annual Holiday Toy Drive—Christmas cheer will abound in Quarter 4 with this toy drive, where the dealership plans on partnering with KTIK-FM radio and Toys for Tots Boise.
