GreenCars is LAD’s proprietary brand, designed to accelerate the adoption of more sustainable vehicles. Through a comprehensive learning path, and the sharing of the latest information and knowledge, GreenCars’ goal is to help make it as easy as possible for drivers to go green.
In Q3 2022, GreenCars rolled out a comprehensive learning path called GreenCars 101, designed to walk visitors through every aspect of green driving, and give them the knowledge they need to take the next step. Expert Insights share product-specific information, and a section also delivers the latest news on the industry.
All of the new content has now been bundled together in a redesigned website, with a refreshed homepage, improved navigation, and a friendly new look. Initial performance of the new site is impressive, with GreenCars exceeding 500,000 average unique visitors for the first time in December 2022. For the year, total website traffic was up over 700% compared to 2021.
Beyond product knowledge, GreenCars offers useful tools to help make EV ownership easy. These include a customized incentive calculator, which helps drivers maximize the financial benefits of going green; a charging station locator; a home-charger catalog; and a list of accredited electric vehicle charging installers.
When a GreenCars visitor is ready to purchase a vehicle, they can do so on Driveway, LAD’s online sales platform, which powers the GreenCars marketplace. Driveway gives visitors to GreenCars the ability to buy a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or electric vehicle from anywhere in the country –with just a few clicks.
