Hearts With a Mission is an Oregon-based local nonprofit that serves homeless and at-risk youth by providing shelter, educational support, mentoring and transition planning.
In August, LAD’s home office in Medford hosted Hearts With a Mission youth, treating them to games, face painting, obstacle courses, lunch, and treats, put on by a team of hard-working summer interns. Employees at the home office also took part in a supply drive for the youth, donating clothes, shoes, outdoor equipment, and more.
Ashley Blake, one of Hearts With a Mission’s directors, said, “Our team and youth were absolutely blown away with everything that LAD put together. Seriously, I have not seen our youth so happy, their guards completely down, and just enjoying each other this much since I began. We really can't explain how much this meant to everyone.”
