Spreading Holiday Joy with CASA

group of volunteers smiling at the Medford Home Office

Over the 2025 holiday season, many stores and corporate team members came together to make Christmas morning brighter for many families and children by organizing toy drives and volunteering their time. Their generosity, creativity, and energy resulted in hundreds of Christmas gift wishes coming true for children living in the communities we serve. Their holiday-spirit stories warm the heart:

The CASA Giving Tree Campaign

In Oregon, stores and support teams from Medford, Grants Pass, and Portland partnered with the CASA Giving Tree campaign, a holiday program that provides new toys, clothes, and gift cards to children in foster care or who are removed from homes due to abuse or neglect.

This annual campaign allows community members to select gift tags from local "Giving Trees" and fulfill specific child needs.

Special Delivery in Medford

In southern Oregon, a month-long effort to fulfill all of the CASA gift requests on the Home Office’s giving tree culminated in a festive cavalcade—complete with a police escort, a Grinch, guest GMs, and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus—stopping by to collect all the donated gifts. Team members came out in holiday attire to help load the “CASA sleigh” and take photos with Santa before the gifts were personally delivered to the nearby CASA offices.

Merry & Bright in Portland

Up north, LAD teams partnered with CASA of Washington County to help over 100 children in foster care receive their special gift request, along with some essential everyday items. The team ensured that every child’s gift request was fulfilled, and to make each gift as special as possible, volunteers personally shopped for the items, wrapped each gift, and created a handmade holiday card for each child. As an added bonus, Driveway.com and DFC teams gave each child a holiday gift bag full of goodies and a gift card.
